"Two incredible lo-fi deep space synth excursions from the same label that gave us releases from Oneohtrix Point Never, Pocahaunted etc. Drifts have previously offered cassette releases on the über-low-key Scumbag Relations imprint but this is their first CD pressing as far as we can tell. With 'Future Light Cone' we're untethered from the docking station and free to wander in slow moving gaseous environments, eyelids drooping from a lack of oxygen and limbs heavy. The second track offers slightly more in the way of melody with a Gas-like drone hidden at its core surrounded by unstable exhaust fumes and distant synth forms appearing from the gloom. Brilliant for dozy space dreams and stoned afternoons. Recommended!"
